About this Project
After watching Peter Jackson's classic trilogy for the thousandth time, I became captivated by the idea of reimagining Bilbo Baggins through a completely different stylistic lens. I decided to transport J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic protagonist into the vibrant universe of Onward. A film whose visual style and heartfelt world-building I deeply admire. My goal was to translate Bilbo’s classic Shire aesthetic into the sleek, expressive character design language of Onward.
It was a blast figuring out how to keep Bilbo looking like his usual cozy self while giving him that bright, expressive style look of Onward!
